Beatles – REVOLVER – rare 1970s COLUMBIA labels BOTH SIDES!!
This is a very rare UK 1970s variant of the Beatles' 'Revolver' album. The labels have a Columbia records logo on BOTH sides of the disc rather than the correct Parlophone ones. Both Columbia and Parlophone were part of EMI Records so obviously this is some kind of mix-up at the factory. The other three copies I have seen only have this mistake on one side only, but this copy has the mistake on both sides! I have yet to see another example like this. The disc is in perfect condition, and is possibly a one of a kind. The high start price reflects the fact I don't really want to sell it...
The disc is in MINT – condition. No visible marks at all. Deadwax on both sides display 'HTM' and matrices of YEX 605-3 // YEX 606-4. No spindle wear. Side 1 has a crinkle in the label that is obviously a pressing flaw. Standard mid 1970s labels with 'EMI Records' at the start, and 'Made in Gt Britain' at the end of the rimtext.
The sleeve is a standard mid 1970s G&L issue. I would grade it VERY GOOD +. Very minimal ringwear but there is a half-inch tear on the top of the sleeve and light edgewear otherwise. This is an easy sleeve to find in better condition if you wish to upgrade it.
