Description

This is a rare original 3 & 3/4 ips twin track mono reel-to-reel tape from 1964 TA-PMC 1240.  I have checked it on a reel-to-reel player and both sides play as new.  There are no snaps or repairs and the tape is on the original 4 inch EMI reel, in excellent condition complete with a Parlophone '£' sticker.  It's in it's original box which has three split corners and a split on the bottom finger slot and the side piece under George and John on the photo is held on with sellotape.  On the positive side, it has no writing, no tears, no other sellotape marks, but there is a blue ink blotch on the back which can be seen in the photo.  The cardboard tape 'cradle' inside is intact and it comes with a pink Emitape insert (see photo).  The original leader tape at both ends is clean, intact and full length and it even has the original packing slip inside the box which tells the bearer 'In case of complaint this slip must be returned with the tape record' - I suspect however that may be out of warranty after 43 years! It's a nice addition though.  In case you can't remember, the tracks are:

SIDE ONE: No Reply; I'm A Loser; Baby's In Black; Rock And Roll Music; I'll Follow The Sun; Mr.Moonlight; and Kansas City.

SIDE TWO: Eight Days A Week; Words Of Love; Honey Don't; Every Little Thing; I Don't Want To Spoil The Party; What You're Doing; and Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby.

The opening price for this tape is a BARGAIN if it stays at that (check out http://www.leninimports.com/beatles_reel.html#bssingles ). I put Beatles reel-to-reel tapes on eBay whenever I can get hold of them. If you are a fan or a collector, it might be worth your while checking out my feedback and adding me to your favourites.
