 THE BEATLES - 'ROCK 'N' ROLL MUSIC  Vol. 1 & 2'

Originally released as a double album in 1976, EMI decided to reissue the album as 2 separate albums on its budget MFP label in 1980.

Interestingly, instead of using the original UK tapes for this set, EMI used the U.S. tapes and had Beatles' cutting engineer Harry Moss (whose initials 'HTM' appear in two run-outs) recut them at Abbey Road for this release.


This lot comprises FOUR 1-sided EMI test-pressing LPs dating from August 1980 - each for 1 side of two volume set.

Each plain white labelled disc plays one side of the LP and the other side a test tone (matrix: 'LPFB 2')


Each disc is housed within its original opaque EMI inner-sleeve with matrix information written on each.


Matrices:

Disc 1: SKBO 11537-1A-1 ('HTM')

Disc 2: SKBO 11537-2A-1 ('HTM')

Disc 3: SKBO 11537-1B-1

 Disc 4: SKBO 11537-2B-1


All sides with music on have '1/G' stamper codes signifying the earliest possible copies off the press.


CONDITION

All discs: NEAR MINT

All discs have been played just one or twice at most for test purposes.

Each is clean & unworn with just a few light marks from storage inside the inners.
