THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial December 1965 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1267
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK....' text with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.

Housed in the rarer front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' printed cover & original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex..' inner-sleeve

Both are clean & bright bearing just a small number of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Immaculately clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which bear only a few harmless inner-sleeve removal marks on side 2 in strong daylight together with a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this well looked-after copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
This fine sounding copy has received minimal, careful play on good equipment and my single careful play-check at volume found no evidence of any groove/playwear on any track or in either channel. There are certainly no clicks, pops, jumps, repeats or any other such distraction. In fact, apart from a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks, there is little to fault and much more to enjoy.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this scarcer cover variant which retains a richly coloured, high-gloss front panel bearing three faint wrinkles towards the opening edge and just two tiny spine wrinkles to show for its 48 years. There is a small red spot on the 'U' of 'Soul' but this is beneath the laminate and is clearly a printing issue.
All corners are in fine shape with just a touch of wear to the tips of the right two but both opening edges are sharp, straight and undamaged. The rear panel is clean & white overall with the only blemish being a few small stains towards the lower end of the opening edge. All flipbacks are fully intact and both seams are smooth, unstressed & unworn.
The spine is in perfect condition along its entire length.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with some mild, even age-toning but no writing, tears or seam splits.
