THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
1965 UK 1st MONO PRESSING LP
*XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1*
Often referred to as the 'loud cut' version, this early pressing does sound different to later '-4/-5' cuts, but just with more compressed sound.
This excellent 1965 first mono pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1267
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, 'tri-flipback' 'Garrod & Lofthouse' mono cover.
Complete with its original lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1
Stamper numbers: 2/GM & 5/MH
Cover: EXCELLENT
A superb example which retains its high-gloss, unscratched laminate which bears just a small number identationno creases or 'thumbnails'.
The corners are clean and sharp with just a touch or storagewear to the upper left and lower right corner but no 'bumping' to any.
The front opening edge is clean and shape with just some light wear on the rear edge but no tears or missing paper.
The rear panel is bright, clean and and white with no marks writing; present or removed.
The spine is perfect, square and uncreased and all seams and 'flipbacks' are strong and undamaged with no missing laminate or paper.

Some 'lazy' spindle marks but no 'touch-up or missing paper.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Seldom played; this copy has been looked after and stored safely for many years.
Close inspection under under a halogen desk lamp reveals a touch of 'bag rash' and a few light hairlines but no heavy scuffs or scratches.
Thick, heavy vinyl which is totally 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Rarely played and as a result, the music sounds fresh, loud and clear without any crackle or groovewear 'loud passage' distortion.
There is some light background between tracks and 2 light 'ticks' on 'Think For Yourself' but 'Michelle' plays clearly without any crackle or groovewear.
There are no other faults.
