Description
THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
This lovely 1st U.K. MONO pressing dates from initial December 1965 release.
Both yellow and black Parlophone labels have the 'Times New Roman' style font: PMC 1267
The 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Parlophone Co...' worded rims are present on both sides.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 579-4 & XEX 580-1
Stamper codes: 1/GXOA & 1/LH
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original rice-paper lined 'Use EMITEX...' inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Sleeve (EX+/NM): A wonderfully preserved example of this striking cover which retains a fine high-gloss front panel which is free from any 'thumbnail' creasing. There are a few very small spine creases near the middle of the front panel. The exposed rear panel is pristine white and totally unblemished with no handling, storage or age-related wear. All flipbacks are in-place and the seams are smooth & unstressed.
Record (Near Mint): Immaculate factory-fresh playing surfaces which appear 'as new' in strong daylight. Closer inspection directly beneath halogen light reveals nothing more than a few harmless wispy paper-type hairlines from the once or twice the disc has been removed from its inner-sleeve.
Inner-sleeve (EX): Original inner is in excellent condition, free from any seam splits.
