READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles’ Second Album 1964 LP MONO First Pressing CONSIGNMENT with 2:23 Error!
They’re very few and far between, hardly seen and known about, but they do exist. This copy was pressed by Decca Records with an early label bearing the 2:23 running time error for the track, “You Can’t Do That.” There are also copies pressed by Columbia with this error. I’ve only ever seen one copy each, and I have to date, never come across an RCA pressing with one of these labels. Very tough piece!
Vinyl--- VG+/ EXCELLENT. Not sure entirely, how to grade this vinyl. Under normal room lighting, the vinyl looks Excellent, with just a stray light angel hair. But under the bare bulb test, a few more appear on each side, making this copy flash between grades. Still a very pretty piece of vinyl!
Plates--- T4/ T5. Decca-assigned plate numbers.
Cover--- VG. Structurally very solid cover, NO SPLITS. However, the cover has uniformly aged with appropriate ringwear and dirtwear, but certainly not excessive.
Labels--- EXCELLENT/ VG+. Side 2 label would also be EXCELLENT, but there is a nearly imperceptible name written in ballpoint, black-on-black. Can’t even make out what the name is, it’s so light. It’s under George’s name if you can’t find it.
Labels have the small concentric groove very close to the playhole. They are also pressed nearly flat against the vinyl, no raised platform, like the other pressings. Those two features makes this disc pressed from Decca lathes.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Original aqua blue Capitol inner sleeve is present, and in EXCELLENT condition. NO SPLIT SEAMS.
A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.
RIAA: None
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
