Description
The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" very first 1967 east-coast mono LP pressing in absolutely beautiful condition...complete with the true near mint red-swirl inner sleeve and pepper cutout. This is a permanent keeper...totally guaranteed. Cataloged as MAS-2653 [Spizer-cataloged CAP 2653.MR1A (without "With")], this cover is the best you will find - complete in the ORIGINAL UNTORN skin-tight shrinkwrap corner to corner. There are smaller size breathholes spaced vertically just over 4 1/2" apart on both the front and back (along the right side). All edges are shiny and pointy...and most telling of all, the back is as bright red as you can get with NO wear whatsoever. This is a version one cover where there is no mention of NEMS ENTERPRISES at all. I had to playgrade this, and it is crystal clear with almost no background noise (usually noticable at the beginning of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" and on other sensitive songs). There is NO pop or crackle between songs...or when you first drop the needle. It is clean. You can tell this Near Mint disc has hardly been tracked - shiny on both sides. There are a couple of inconsequential paper scuffs and that's it. This is the finest copy I've had in years - and the cover is THE finest I've ever had without being sealed. Again, this is all original and is just as it was purchased 39 years ago. Satisfaction guaranteed. U.S. buyer to pay $6.00 for double-boxed USPS priority shipping (double-boxed media mail available upon request at $3.00). International buyer to inquire for shipping costs. Insurance is at the discretion of the buyer. Please email me with any questions.
