Description
For auction is an excellent condition and incredibly early First U.K. stereo issue of The Beatles most famous album - Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in the much rarer and more sought after Wide Spine sleeve. PCS 7027 XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1 matrices but more impressively 1G/1A stampers, meaning it is likely one of the first 1000 stereo copies of this album ever pressed.
Original wide spine sleeve in excellent condition. The spine is in beautiful condition and close to mint.
Original flame inner sleeve in VG condition and the original card insert is near mint.
The record is visually EX+ for side 1 and EX for side 2. A couple of small very shallow scuffs/scratches to side 2 only but otherwise superb shiny vinyl. Labels clean and unmarked apart from small name written in £ symbols (see photo).
Sonically plays as excellent with definitely no sticks skips or jumps and only very occasional light crackles in quiet passages.
This is the best condition copy of this album I have seen, with the extra benefit of being one of the very first off the press. A chance to own a beautiful piece of history.
