Description
Beatles. Sgt Peppers. LP. 1st UK Press. MONO. Complete! Y&B. 4th PROOF SLEEVE!!!
Lovely EX Vinyl!!! Pop Art Inner. Crisp Card Insert!!!!
Why this cover is rare: The first three proofs were never used in final production, and the 4th proof was the final version of this cover. However, a very few of these covers had 'Fourth Proof' and the Catalogue / Printer's number printed on the inside top right right flip. As soon as these marks were discovered, they were removed!!
Vinyl: Lots of lovely sheen, shine and lustre. In normal light looks the vinyl looks almost unmarked! In sunlight there are hairlines to be seen on both sides. Hence an overall EX!!!
Cover: Nice example. Some creasing. Spine a bit crumbly. Inside EX, outside EX- (see pix).
Labels: Lovely clear EX both sides!!! Some spindling and the odd smudge (see pix).
Inner sleeve: Red Fool inner, rather creased and biro mark with 'PMC7027' on top of one side (see pix) VG therefore.
Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1Stamper numbers: 4/RTP & 2RAM
Questions welcome.
