DESCRIPTION: Beatles LP- Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. In fully laminated (inside and out) gatefold sleeve. With cut out insert and red/white inner sleeve with made in great britain and patents applied for text.. 1st Uk press with B&Y parlophone labels with the gramophone co and sold in UK. Matrix numbers XEX 637-1/ 638-1. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Parlophone PMC 7027 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1967 original COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG-/VG. Vinyl is clean with a decent sheen and some very light hairlines/ brushing marks. Played in its entirety tonight on my Pro-ject deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds generally very good. Clear and loud with good seperation. Some surface sound (nearly all between the tracks except for When Im 64 and A Day in the Life) and the occasional tick/click. Nothing near a jump or stick. Cover is firm and square with decent shape and has light edgewear, moderate cornerwear and creasing. Inside of gatefold has some heavy creasing on the spine area. Clean labels apart from one side having some ?cellotape residue- not visible from a distance and not really noticeable unless you are looking for it. Insert is Ex, firm and square with only very light wear. Red/white inner is VG with some creasing and discolouration to one edge. Unsually the delicate paper sleeve has no feathering and only one very fine 1" split to bottom edge. These are usually shredded! . No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
