Black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7027
With the 'Sold In UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims on both labels.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono gatefold cover.
This early example has the wider 9mm spine.
Complete with red & white designer inner-sleeve & MINT cut-out sheet.

A first class set which bears just a single faint spindle trail on the side 2 label. Label 1 is totally unmarked.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both sides are in extremely clean, bright and unworn. Apart from a single light surface line on side 1 into the run-out, both sides are unmarked in daylight. Close inspection directly under halogen light reveals just some wispy inner-sleeve/paper removal hairlines and a few tiny marks but no major wear of any kind. I have downgraded half a grade due to a very slight edgewarp which does not affect sound or play in any way.
Play: EXCELLENT
This copy has received just a few extremely careful plays on good quality equipment and the sound throughout is totally unworn. There is no trace of any background noise or groovewear distortion. Even on the easily and most frequently damaged track: 'She's Leaving Home' plays without break-up or wear. A few dull pops lasting just a few revolutions are audible at volume on 'Lovely Rita' & 'Good Morning, Good Morning' but there are no further significant or any major audible faults on this fine copy.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A superb example of this rare & early cover which retains is high-gloss all-round laminate with just 3 small 'thumbnails' on the front panel only. The corners display jsome light shelfwear and the rear opening edge a hint of light wear, but no splits or tears. The inside is bright & clean with just some tiny areas missing paper along the inner flipback edges. The spine extremely clean, square and unsquashed along its full length. Apart from a 1cm line of missing laminate to the front upper seam, all are strong and unsplit.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT +
Just a touch of light storagewear but no other wear or faults.
