Labels: 1. EXCELLENT 2. NEAR MINT
Both are clean & bright with just a small handful of tiny spindle marks around the side 1 centre hole, which also retains a sliver of its silver centre hole marker. However, it is downgraded slightly due to a small blemish in the upper right area. The side 2 label is immaculate with just two faint spindle trails around its unworn centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine 'factory-fresh' playing surface which are 'as new' and completely unmarked in strong daylight. Even upon careful inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp fails to find any thing except for literally one or two of the faintest paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine. You will not find a cleaner pair of surfaces on any copy of this album.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Played carefully on high-end equipment just two or three times the sound throughout is flawless. Having carefully played once it at volume, I am happy to report that I detected absolutely no trace of any groove/play wear anywhere - even on the easily worn 'She's Leaving Home'. In fact the only audible blemish I could find was a touch of light background on the final piano fade-out of 'Day In the Life'. Needless to say that there are no clicks, ticks or pops anywhere. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed and will thoroughly enjoy this copy in the format it was meant to be heard.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A fine example of this iconic cover which retains a perfect, unscratched and unworn high-gloss laminate all-round and no 'thumbnail' wrinkles front or rear. The only significant sign of wear preventing a higher grade is a flattened out bump to the upper right corner of the front panel which is not visible on the rear. All of the other corners are sharp and unworn, as are both opening edges. The inside of the gatefold is just as clean & glossy only that there are a few slivers of missing paper on the uncovered edges of the flipbacks. The spine is fully laminated and worded along its entire length and all seams are smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Flat and uncreased with some mild age-toing but no writing, tears or seam splits.
Cut-out sheet: MINT
