CONDITION

Labels: Disc 1: EXCELLENT + Disc 2: NEAR MINT

Disc 1's labels are both clean & unblemished, bearing a moderate collection of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole. Both labels on disc 2 are immaculate with just 2/3 faint spindle trails indicating very little play indeed.

Visual: Disc 1: EXCELLENT - Disc 2: EXCELLENT

Both sides of disc 1 are clean and retain all of their factory deep-gloss shine. Strong daylight shows up a single 2.5cm fingernail scuff on side 1 and a small handful of smaller ones on side 2, but nothing I would call a scratch. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than some harmless wispy paper hairlines from the inner.sleeve but no further significant blemishes or wear. Disc 2 is extremely clean & glossy with some harmless wispy hairlines consistent with the few times this disc has been removed from its inner-sleeve, but little else of any significance. Both disc of this well looked after set lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: Disc 1: EXCELLENT - Disc 2 EXCELLENT

As is usual with this set, disc 1 has been showed the most favour on the turntable. However, all tracks play without any groove/playwear distortion and only a trace of low-level vinyl background is present is some of the quieter passages but this, in my opinion, does not spoil the listening enjoyment of this disc. There are certainly no heavy clicks, pops, jumps, repeats or any other such distraction throughout. Disc 2 has been played two or three times at most and sounds wonderful with no trace of any playwear or interference normally associated with most copies of this album. My play-check detected a little background on 'Long, Long, Long' but no heavy clicks or any other significant audible distractions on this enjoyable copy.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A highly respectable, relatively low-numbered example which is clean & strong throughout and free from any significant or major signs of wear. Both front & rear panels are perfectly clean with the laminate retaining all of its high-gloss finish with just an unavoidable faint disc impression but no heavy scratching or marks. The laminate is fully intact around the raised front panel wording and the unique number is clean, bold & unworn. All corners are in great shape with just a tiny bruise to the upper right. All of the top-opening edges are clean & unworn with no tears or feathering.

Both panel inside the gatefold are immaculate and totally wear-free and the rear panel is as clean as the front.

The laminate has split 8cms midway down the spine both sets of wording are covered and & highly readable. Finally, both upper & lower seams of both pockets are perfectly smooth unstressed and unworn.

Photos: MINT

Poster: VERY GOOD +

Unhung with light handling wear & a few tiny age-spots but no tears or holes to any seam or fold.

Inner-sleeves: EXCELLENT

Both are clean & flat with just a tiny nick to one of the centre windows, but all upper edges are unworn and there are no splits to any seam.
