The original First Press of this Double LP issued in 1968.

In addition here we have

 - an extremely early copy, as shown by
   *  very low number sleeve, and
   *  no "an emi recording" to the left of the spindle hole on the LPs  (this occurred only in LPs sold with very low number sleeves)

*Original 1st pressing from 1968
* "Sold in UK subject to..." printed on all LP labels (first press).
* "an emi recording" is not printed to the left of the spindle hole.  This occurred in only the very first few copies of the first pressing, which were also sold with outer covers with very low numbers.

Outer Sleeve
* A nice example of a well-preserved original MONO sleeve
*Laminated outer sleeve by Garrod and Lofthouse, still with a nice shine and only slightly yellowing with age.
* Top-loading  - 1st issue
* Very low numbered copy  0078026 stamped on front cover.
* "The Beatles" embossed in the laminate on front cover.
* MONO cover -No writing of any kind on rear.
* VG++  condition.
* Completely intact, with no tears and no writing, internal flapbacks intact and well stuck down.  Some light scuffing of the top opening edge, mainly at the left hand end. 

Poster
* Original lyrics poster.
* Made by Garrod and Lofthouse, correctly identified as such on the back/bottom right corner.
* Very good + condition
* There are no tears, no writing, no pinholes and no glue marks. Some wear on the seams from multiple opening/closing the folds

 Black Inner Sleeves
* Excellent condition.
* Original 1968 matt black paper inner sleeves, (with the hole diecut on just 1 side.)
* No seam splits on any of the edges of both sleeves.
*  Both sleeves are completely intact with no damage and no writing.  Small tear of about 5 mm on the centre hole. Both sleeves just have a few light creases in the paper and some light scuffing on the top opening edge.
 * No seam splits !!

Photos
*Comes complete with 4 photos, one of each Beatle
* There are sellotape marks in each corner where the photos used to be displayed on the wall.

LP -Visual and Play
All 4 sides of the LPs have been not only visually examined, but also played on a quality deck and carefully listened to all the way through all tracks on all sides. 

Side 1 - Visually graded VG+ a light fingernail scuff on track 1/2 and a short superficial scratch on track 5.  Play grading was EX- overall.  Seven tracks played an extremely good EX with no ticks, no clicks, no hops, and nice quiet gaps between tracks.  In one track Honey Pie the short scratch in the vinyl produces a number of regular clicks, but these are quite quiet and only noticeable in quiet parts.  Side 2 - visually graded EX- one light superficial scratch and some light rubbing.  Play was found to be EX+ throughout with no noises on the soundtrack from any vinyl markings.  Side 3 - Visually graded VG+ a few short scratches on track 2/3. A few wax(?) spots on the label.  Play was EX,  there were no clicks or other noises on the whole side except in one place in the gap between tracks 2 and 3 where there were a number of regular quiet clicks.  Side 4 - Visually graded VG+ a few light superficial marks in just one place and a single short scratch near the end.  The first four tracks are a wonderful EX, but in track 5 Revolution9 (which is the track containing all the weird noises) there are some light crackles at the start and some quiet clicks; though it is always difficult with this track to decide which peculiar noise was put on the soundtrack by the Beatles themselves, and which is a more recent addition.

95 minutes of wonderful MONO sound, The MONO mix, which was done by the Beatles themsleves, has quite a number of small differences from the stereo mix done by the Apple engineers.  Details available on request.
