Unique, Carlton Television copy of this red label issue
Details are available on line, explaining the connection between ATV (Associated Television) and Carlton Television, which was one of a number of broadcasting companies owned by ATV. Indeed, it's then chairman, Lew Grade, had managed to acquire the publishing rights to all Lennon/McCartney songs, before selling them to Michael Jackson, who then sold them to Sony. Paul McCartney is still unable to get them back
I bought this at an International Record Fair, at Olympia in London, together with a red label Please Please Me, which is also listed

The Vinyl
Visually: Beautiful example, with gleaming deep gloss surfaces - a few needle lines evident on side 1 - side 2 is unmarked - just wispy handling lines visible against reflected bright light
Audio: Crystal clear audio from both sides - a few pops in the middle of Love Me Do (nothing much) - side 2 is flawless - mild static on the run ins/outs - none of the usual crackle associated with most copies

Super clean, unmarked, with vibrant text - red colouring is undiminished - release date, 05/10/62 inscribed

Original company issue - near perfect - displaying a modern, barcoded reference, added at a later date
