Description
Please Please Me 1963
PMC 1202-Mono
3rd Pressing (1st Yellow Parlophone)
Matrix: XEX 421-1N and XEX 422-1N
Stampers: 2RR and 1RR
Both sides of the disc are a gleaming near mint, only displaying the lightest of handling marks when angled towards a bright light. Audio is flawless, with virtually no sound through the run-ins to each track. The powerful mono mix bursts from the speakers with crystal clarity. This disc plays as it did the first time, 48 years ago.
The 1st issue labels which both omit the 'recording first published 1963' text, are in fine condition, with just the expected collection of spindle trails, mainly around the centre. All text is vibrant and undamaged.
The 1st issue EJ Day 'Gold' sleeve (Angus McBean, extreme right) produced from thick card stock, is not in the best shape, showing some effects from damp and generally in a fairly tired state. However, it is intact with the seams tight and no unwanted writing on the back.
The lined inner sleeve is in good order, having age toning and a split at the base where the LP has penetrated.
All in all, a fantastic addition to any Beatles collection.
I have other Beatles items listed, please take a look.
Please note: I am happy to sell world wide but please do not email me about postage costs. Your item will be well packaged and sent by air, insured and requiring a signature (also trackered where available). As well as the postal cost, there is the cost of the packaging to consider. If you object to the amount then please don't bid. Thank you.
