Description
I recently found this LP amongst many in my loft, and have finally decided to part with it, although it's been a comforting thought to know I owned a gold label Please Please Me for this many years.
As I hope I have shown in the photographs, this is an original pressing gold label Mono copy of the LP.
The cover has not worn amazingly well, but the front cover is in pretty decent order,still retaining a dull shine and with a couple small creases in the bottom left and along the right edge.
The back cover is a little more worn, with yellow sellotape along both top and bottom edges and a few age blemishes. All still readable though, and with no writing. There is a repaired tear along the top edge of the cover (see photo).
The original inner sleeve is unmarked but a little creased.
The LP itself is scattered with light scratches and a scuff on side one, but I have had it on my turntable and the entire album played surprisingly well with no jumps, just some clicks and pops between tracks and a little crackle.
The stamping on the inner grooves reads 1XEX421-1N and 422-1N on sides one and two respectively. (See photo).

Edit: I have been informed this is actually a second pressing of the album, because of the Northern Songs credits, which are a little scarcer in this black and gold label form.
On 23-Apr-16 at 16:19:45 BST, seller added the following information:Hopefully the final amendment to this listing, it is actually a 'crossover' pressing from April 1963, the side one label is as the second pressing, the side two label as the first pressing. Not sure of the rarity of this! Sorry for any confusion.
