Beatles-Rel 1968 45 Carolina On My Mind James Taylor PROMO NM
Gorgeous copy of James’ 1968 debut 45 on Apple Records. This copy features the first-run label that mistakenly lists the title as “Carolina ON My Mind,” as opposed to “In My Mind.”
Tough piece.
Sleeve: Company “The Beatles on Apple” is in Excellent condition. Flat, razor-sharp edges, slight label ridges damage to each side. Slight edge wear to seams, NO SPLITS. See photos.
Vinyl: NM/ Excellent. Side 1 looks unplayed, side 2 has extremely hard to find angel hairs, looking directly under a bare bulb. Supernice copy!
Labels: Side 1 label has sticker residue. Side 2 label is NM.
Plates: A1/ A1. Definitely a first-day pressing, this copy was clearly in the hands of the radio stations before the single was in the shops.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
