Apcor 3 Mono
Ultra Rare Mono Pressing, this James Taylor album was a very poor seller and by late 1968, Mono records were being outsold by stereo 15-1.
COVER - The correct Mono Original Laminated gatefold is in VG+ condition, minor ripple to laminate near James’s head but this is obviously a manufacturing fault.
The back is equally good but has a laminate crease at the bottom middle and on the bottom left!
It’s still a very solid sleeve but has some minor laminate wear to the spine and some top corner wear.
The right side corners are really shape with the correct Apcor 3 catalog details fully readable on the opening side of the cover.
The inside gatefold has what looks like 2 patches of Glue residue of when the cover was made, there is also a small biro written name.
Otherwise both sides are very white and flipbacks are great!
VINYL - The VG vinyl still retains its lustre and for a 56 year old record , it looks very nice.
Both side do have a few light grazes on both sides which I have inspected under bright daylight , but they are very light and not serious and can only be seen when you move the record around in the daylight.
Some trails around side 2 label.
The record has clearly been played a few times but it’s obviously been cared for although it’s picked up these grazes.
This is probably a bit of a better copy than an average one if and when they rarely turn up , but this is a much more affordable price.
