-
This is Apple Records STCX – 3385.

This is a FIRST PRESSING of this APPLE RECORDS BOX SET! How do we know? Because the initial boxes have an orange interior (both lid and bottom). (Second pressing boxes have a white interior.)

This 3-record box set has custom Apple labels.

This box set was issued December 20, 1971.

The box set contains:

Textured Box with lift-off (unattached) lid that holds the contents
-
3 Vinyl LPs

3 tan textured paper inner sleeves

This CONCERT is HISTORIC! It was the FIRST BENEFIT ROCK CONCERT, and it brought together many great talents to raise money to aid the starving population of Bangla Desh.
-
It has MANY GREAT CUTS on the LPs of the live concert performances including the following:
By George Harrison: Something, Here Comes the Sun, Bangladesh, My Sweet Lord, Wah-Wah, Awaiting on You All, Beware of Darkness, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
By Bob Dylan: A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall, It Takes a Lot to Laugh/It Takes a Train to Cry, Blowin’ in the Wind, Mr. Tambourine Man, and Just Like a Woman.
By Ringo Starr: It Don’t Come Easy
By Billy Preston: That’s the Way God Planned It
By Leon Russell: Jumpin’ Jack Flash/Youngblood
Ravi Shankar: One side is devoted to Indian music (sitar)
-
The TEXTURED BOX itself is in VERY NICE VG to VG+ CONDITION. The EXTERIOR FRONT of the lid with the child’s image has light overall wear (please refer to images) and generally light signs of handling. The EXTERIOR BOTTOM of the box has a couple of small and very light smudges. The BOX LID and the BOX BOTTOM HAVE NO CORNER SPLITS. (Very often these boxes have corner splits. Sometimes, they are even flat when all or almost all of the corners are split.)
-
The VINYL (all 6 sides) is in NEAR MINT CONDITION with just a stray light/surface hairline/scuff here and there.
-
The 3 TAN TEXTURED-PAPER INNER SLEEVES are included and are in NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) CONDITION with just very light signs of handling. They have NO SPLITS and NO TEARS.
-
The 64-PAGE BOOKLET is INCLUDED and is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with just very light signs of handling. There are no cut-outs, no pages missing, and all pages are fully attached to the staples in the center.
For those who don’t have a first pressing or any pressing of this box set, or if your copy has a box that is flat due to corner splits, here is a GREAT COPY OF THIS 1st PRESSING OF THE GEORGE HARRISON BOX SET OF THIS LEGENDARY CONCERT in VERY NICE CONDITION TO ADD TO YOUR VINYL COLLECTION!!!
