Bernard Smith & Jokers Wild-VA N Soul-Gotta Be A Reason
WOW! About this time last year we brought you The Soul Brothers, Inc. and Earl Carter! This time we bring you another Massively Rare Virginia Soul Monster! Up for auction is an original pressing of Bernard Smith & Jokers Wild on Groove Records (G-504) doing "Gotta Be A Reason" b/w "39-21-46". The dead wax matrix has the following: Side A: G-504A with a stamp that states Mastered By Frankford/Wayne Phila.; Side B:G-504B F/W. This copy is by far the cleanest one I have ever seen. I grade it as a VG+/VG++. The labels are clean and bright and the vinyl is high gloss with only the faintest of paper scuffs. Take a listen to the sound clip to hear for yourself how EXCELLENT this one sounds. The clips were taken directly from the record without any filters, editing, etc. Don't miss your opportunity to get this Awesome original press record for your collection. At this point everyone I know of is even sold out of the poorly made re-release that doesn't even contain the Fantastic General Johnson smash on the flip! I just noticed that the photos of the record when supersized show what appears to be spotting and discoloration on the vinyl. This is not the case and appears to be a side-effect of my scanner. The vinyl is as nice as can be with only faint paper scuffs. I gave it a grade of VG+/VG++ so as to ensure that the new owner would be happy. Many people would probably grade it higher. Rest assured that if you win this record you will be very happy and if not I will offer a full refund. Thank you and Good Luck.
