Description
We have here a blues recorded in March and September 1927. Bessie is accompanied by her Blue Boys on Hot Springs blues(Joe Smith clarinet, Charlie Green trombone and Fletcher Henderson piano) and on My Man Blues by Ernest Elliott alto sax . Plays loud and clear, light background noise but no distortion and good fidelity. This is an extremely rare record in any condition and very expensive in better grades, but this copy plays excellently , far better than appearance (which is rather worn looking) at about E-. Little shine. Another disc showing the Columbia magic resistance to wear! There is some heat damage to the very edge of the record, not affecting play (see photos).
