Description
This is Texas disc jockey J. P. Richardson (known affectionally as the Big Bopper) singing or performing "Chantilly Lace Starring The Big Bopper" on Mercury MG 20402 from 1959. The original black label record looks VG++ with minor surface markings but plays VG++ with minor background noises. This record comes in an Mercury Records inner sleeve. The jacket is in NM condition. This album comes in a clear, resealable, poly-vinyl protective sleeve. Price guides suggest a valuation of $400 to $600 for a NM black label copy. Because of the record is only VG++ you can own this copy for 50% of that lower valuation. Also included is an 5-page magazine article on The Big Bopper.
