A stunning, original , 1971 first issue release.
Earliest, laminated, boxed sleeve which includes the most impressive, full colour , rare poster, of this magnificent rock group of the seventies ! Poster has never been hung on a wall . This massively scarce poster was ONLY issued with a handful of first pressings ,so massively rare and IMPOSSIBLE to locate !! Some light wear on one “midpoint”, of one of the folds. No discoloration on reverse, no tape residue at corners . A MINT- condition poster with a crisp , clean feel .Great example of this rarity and rated as one of the best ever viewed . A very scarce exhibit , indeed in this ultra clean format. One to treasure as becoming even harder to locate now .
The vinyl is visually stunning with highly polished, glass like surfaces , very similar to mint vinyl . Thick cut , heavyweight press and gives a buzz when held . Unmarked under ordinary light . Under a stronger halogen light, and a closer examination, I am unable to observe any sleeve removal marks/hairlines on either surface. There is a minuscule blemish, which is located S1/Tr 2 but can hardly see (probably occurred at time of pressing and is not a stylus mark) and has no impact on sound whatsoever. Mint- visual to the voyeur under strong daylight and a pleasure to view . I doubt whether one will come across a better visual exhibit .Would be very difficult to match . The vinyl boasts a stunning glaze !
Audio
RAW hard rock sound .Vibrant deep bass riffs. Excellent+ audio with nothing to fault . The wider, Vertigo channels accommodate the raucous, rock blasts in tremendous style! Aural delivery is virtually as good as it gets and do remember that dust will still be lifting from the grooves as it has been lying dormant for many years. Even further improvement possible on this near mint example!!!!! TOP audio!
The first issue , fully laminated, boxed sleeve is in excellent/+ condition. Lamination reflects a glossy sheen . Top and lower folds of box are normally found ripped or damaged in some way, but these are excellent, with little to fault. One minor split in the laminate observed on lower, front face. Superb boxed variant and a pleasure to view. The laminate is only lifting toward the right lateral edge on front face . This only applies to a small area and does little to affect the beauty of this album sleeve . There is also , a minor crease on the left side, toward the upper part of front face and has produced a minor laminate lift at that point . A remarkable album cover, with a solid feel to this boxed, 1st issue , sleeve. ! One of the best ever viewed .
Vertigo swirl label format indicating the very first issue of this sensational Sabbath release . Mint- condition ,a phenomenal exhibit indeed ,with no mottling, no rips, nor tears. No spindle wear at all. No discoloration on the magnificent large swirl label and are superb examples of this very famous label format. No spindle trace visible !A few, faint fingerprints visible ONLY, on Side B !!! Appears to have been hardly played , perhaps 2-3 times ?

Vertigo swirl inner bag, with a stunning, highly polished vinyl, with a raw original sound, making this album presentation an absolute “MUST HAVE” for the serious collector .
