Black Sabbath, Paranoid LP Jim Simpson Big Bear large Vertigo swirl 1st UK Pressing
This is a rare earliest 1st pressing with the ultra rare Jim Simpson/ Big Bear Birmingham management credit on the gatefold sleeve which was withdrawn after the first batch of a few hundred were printed.
This LP has a large spiral vertigo logo on Side A with the track listings for both sides shown on side B and the word 'vertigo' printed at the bottom of the label. Also the groove spacing on side B only has two gaps between the tracks on that side - later ones have three.
The gatefold sleeve is in one piece and shows normal signs of wear and tear with some rubbing at the top, sides and bottom corners of the spine and along the spine. All the text is unmarked and easily readable. There are no sticker marks, no creasing, tears or writing. There is some light scuffing on the inside but it’s in pretty good nick for a 45 year old album!
The inner sleeve with the poly-lined large vertigo swirl on both sides is aged with some browning on the edges and creased on some corners but is again in one piece, I would be nit picking if I said there was a small 1cm tear that has been repaired near the centre.
The vinyl has been visually graded and appears to have little wear or scratches just a few light hairlines and the labels showing the catalogue numbers of 6360 011 and 6360 011 2 are in excellent condition with no writing, scuffs or rubbing.
