Description
Prestige Bluesville 1019, "The Blues of Lightnin' Hopkins" from 1961. Lightnin' Hopkins, vocals and guitar; Leonard Gaskin, bass; Belton Evans, drums. Original heavy DG vinyl plays mostly at NM with virtually no background sound; the exception is Track 2 on Side A, where there are two hairline scratches which cause light pops for less than 30 seconds each. The laminated jacket has strong seams with about half an inch (1 1/2 cm) of wear at upper right; there is minor corner wear; jacket has a certain amount of age coloration; jacket back is basically clean with a small factory stamp and a price written in magic marker at upper right. Songd are "Automobile Blues", "You Better Watch Yourself", "Mean Old Frisco", "Shinin' Moon", "Come Back Baby", "Thinkin' about an Old Friand", "The Walkin' Blues", "Back to New Orleans", "Katie Mae", and "Down There Baby". This was Lightnin's first of many releases on Prestige. Payment methods include PayPal, check, or money order.
