All records are visually graded using Goldmine standards (listed below). I try very hard to accurately grade each record. I both buy and sell records, so I know how disappointing it can be to get a record that has been overrated. I don’t use ratings like NM-, VG++, Excellent, Minty, or any other rating some people use to describe records that really should be rated VG+ or VG. I only sell records that are NM, VG+, VG, or still sealed (SS). The first rating is the record and the second rating is the cover.
Near Mint (NM) Nearly Perfect – The highest rating I use. Vinyl looks brand new with no scuffs or scratches at all. Covers must look like they just came out of the wrapper.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Vinyl may show signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect the listening experience. Cover may have slight signs of wear and may be marred by a cutout hole.
Very Good (VG) Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s into and fade, but will not overpower the music. Covers may be marred with writing or have tape or stickers on them.
