Description

An original Freewheelin' copy from '64 when CBS started pressing records on their own plant. Matrix 1B1/3A1. Please note the '63 1st press of Freewheelin' can be found with the CBS labels, but having been pressed by Philips. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original flipback cover. Also included is an original mid-sixties CBS advertising inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex-) In really great condition particularly given its relative age, and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of minor deviations. Audio quality is very impressive and does not exhibit much interference. Just a touch of light static in one or two tracks - but nothing invasive or persistent. Then there's a couple of light ticks that we picked up in the opening seconds of 'Highway' and then again in 'WW3 Blues'. Overall, though, a lovely rendition and one that more than does this Dylan classic full justice.
Cover (Vg) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Lovely clean and uncreased front with just a couple of scuff marks. The rear has escaped the worst of the usual ageing process - but there are a few marks hear and there. Edge wear is reasonably light and the spine is entirely intact with text all still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits, markings, or ageing.
