Booker Ervin (with Alan Dawson, Jaki Byard, Richard Davis) THE FREEDOM BOOK Prestige 7295, recorded 1963. black-on-yellow MONO Bergenfield Label; Bergenfield address on jacket as well.  “VAN GELDER” stamped into wax. VG++ on account of prestige whisper.  One underground lump in the pressing on A side does not sound. Almost no palpable play wear.  Jacket is NM-; also very well preserved; not laminated.


Here’s the fourth of about 50 batches of records from a fastidious NY-area collector with excellent taste. One owner since release in most cases. Very many of these were played either very little or very carefully. They’ve been carefully play-graded as well.  Low starts, as you can see, and almost no reserves. Bid with confidence.
