Borodin Quartet no 2 & Shostakovich Quartet no 8
DECCA SXL 6036 STEREO
Wonderful performances from the legendary Borodin String Quartet. This was their first LP release in the west, and it really is a great record.
LP is in EX+ condition. The vinyl is clean and shiny. There are one or two superficial marks but there is virtually no surface noise and the minimum of pops/ticks. The sound is clean, clear and bright. The cover is in VG condition. There is some sign of age related fading, but the cover is clean and shiny. There is a small split at the top right hand corner seam which appears to have had an invisible tape repair at some point - see photo.
This LP comes from a large record collection that I am selling on behalf of a retired Music Professor. There are a lot more to come when I have time to listen and check them. Please look at my other listings and contact me if you have any questions.
