Description
As many entertainers did at the advent of the talkies, cabaret singer Harry Richman took his turn in the movies, starring in the 1930 film "Puttin' on the Ritz." This Brunswick, recorded by Richman in Los Angeles in February of 1930, contains two numbers from the film, the title song (Irving Berlin wrote it) and "There's Danger in Your Eyes, Cherie." Both did well -- "Puttin' on the Ritz" hit the top of the charts in March and the flip side was not far behind -- at #4. Record is in E condition. By the way, the singer is accompanied by Earl Burtnett and his Los Angeles Biltmore Hotel Orchestra, a fine west coast group.
