US CORAL EP EC 81191 SUPERB NEAR MINT CONDITION
On offer here is a very rare USA issued EP by Buddy Holly. This was released by Coral Records EC 81191 in ( I believe) summer 1962. This super condition vinyl 45 rpm EP record grades minimally VG++, extremely close to M- actually, with essentially NOTHING that can be seen that could be described as a flaw. Viewed under direct bright halogen light the only characteristic of the disc that that demotes it from a MINT grading would be a couple of the very lightest, near imperceptible, extremely minor little wisps of feathery hairlines, most likely the result of the EP having been kept in the sleeve without a paper inner bag. And one must strain to notice even these. I genuinely tried to find fault with this disc, and have been unable to . It really is that clean. Viewed in indirect light or sunlight the record reveals nothing that can be seen to detract from it's superb condition. There are ZERO scratches, marks, defects, absolutely NONE. This 45 is supremely clean and retains superb gloss. It is tempting to grade it Mint-, or conceivably better, it genuinely is that clean.
The all important picture sleeve is minimally VG+, very conservatively graded, with no seam splits or wear of any kind. The spine & top & bottom edges of the EP are beautifully clean, square, straight, intact & undamaged. Amazing, really, for a sleeve of this vintage.
The front of the picture sleeve is near perfect, see the photo for evidence of this. There is a very minor bit of aging visible along the top left side of the sleeve just above Buddy's picture, and a small area at the top right of the sleeve, above the letter "U" that could be characterized as age related discoloration. This is quite minor, and not at all unusual for a near 50 year old hard card sleeve, but I mention it nonetheless. There is a very light bit of wear at the bottom center of the sleeve, along Buddy's shoulder. The front of the sleeve still retains a superb gloss and the colors are wonderfully bright, clean, crisp & clear. The rear of the sleeve is also in excellent condition, bright, clean & white, see the photo for evidence of this.
The label is bright clean , unmarked, flawless. See the photo for evidence of this.
This is a fantastic condition copy of an extremely rare EP, with both sleeve & disc being miraculously well preserved. Tough to imagine a cleaner copy showing up....
I guarantee this record to be 100% as described. Any further questions, just ask, I will be happy to answer any & all.
This item will only be sent insured mail, the cost for this is .79¢ per $100.00 value in the US, and $1.00 per $100.00 value if shipped outside the USA.
