Description

MICKEY'S MONKEY and I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME GIRL Acetate ...

This one of only two copies in existence .. when you see the other one listing on eBay, you'll know I finally wore this body out and have moved on.

This record made it on the radio in the Midwest.... (Minnesota area of the United States)  the 2nd week of August 1967

This was our first "hit" and the record that "got us going" After this, we were able play regular jobs and make enough money to keep going and eventually record the album "Trip Thru Hell"

It looks to be in very good condition.. It is dirty but I see no scratches etc.

Both songs are on the Sundazed CD. The B side "I want you to love me girl" was written and sang by the late Doug Reynolds. One of my all time best friends and fellow band member.

I added a few things to the photo section of this listing for those interested.

Two are the initial listings of the weekly top 40 lists of songs from the two main radio stations in the Minneapolis St. Paul area of Minnesota when the record made it's debut. It is interesting to see the other songs that were in the top 40 at the time.

I also added the notes I made before we went into the studio on how we were going to record the song. I also added the labels they put on the juke boxes so people could play the song in the bars at the time.

Now the recording studio is gone and the radio stations have changed formats many times since then. The juke boxes have turned into internet devices.... but thank goodness the bars are still there !

This is the only acetate listing I am putting a reserve price on as I am sure my relatives will know not to toss this one in the trash after I am gone.

I  have some  other things currently listed ..so feel free to check those out as well ....

Lastly

I SIGNED A CONTRACT recently WITH SUNDAZED RECORDS AND THE ORIGINAL TRIP THRU HELL ALBUM  IS GOING TO BE RE-RELEASED  VERY SOON

EXACTLY  AS IT WAS RELEASED IN 1969.... THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS IT WILL BE IN 180 GRAM VINYL  AND I HAVE CORRECTED THE CREDITS ON THE BACK OF THE ALBUM.

I don't do social media.. I don't do the Facebook, or tweets.(that is what birds do).... this and email through our web-site is it for me... (I like my privacy) You could also check the Sundazed web site for details from time to time for news about the album's release.

I am moving this summer and will be listing some of things this spring in preparation. Some of them C.A. Quintet related some of them not.

If you have any questions you can email me through eBay or go to our web-site.

Good luck.

Thanks "El Capitan"
