CARL REINER & ETHEL MERMAN AUTOGRAPHED “ART OF LOVE” SOUNDTRACK LP (NM) W/COA!
This 1965 comedy set in Paris and starring James Garner and Dick Van Dyke with a script by Carl Reiner set in Paris had all the ingredients for success, but fell flat as a bad souffle. Fortunately, there was a delightful score by Cy Coleman that proved worth remembering and here we have the Capitol Records LP in Near Mint (NM) condition, autographed by screenwriter Reiner and Ethel Merman, who had a small but memorable role as “Madame Coco.” Reiner did so in black Sharpie at a luncheon for him held several years before his death by the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters in Studio City, Ca. Ms. Merman did so with black ballpoint when she appeared on ABC’s “Hollywood Palace” on Vine St. That’s there one of her greatest fans and admirers presented the album to her to sign after the taping.
