On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Cat Stevens called "Mona Bone Jakon" and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Pink 'i' Island label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF CAT STEVEN'S RAREST LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1970 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE, AND IS AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  INCREDIBLY THE LABELS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RECORD ARE 'FULLY TEXTURED' (LATER ONES ARE NOT!) AND THIS LP HAS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS A//2 B//2 MATRIXES (LATER ONES HAVE HIGHER NUMBERS!)!!!!  AND SECONDLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE VINYL IS MUCH MUCH THICKER THAN ALL LATER PRESSINGS - EXACTLY LIKE EARLIER 1960s ISLAND LPs!!!!  MOST PINK 'i' ISLAND STANDARD 1ST PRESSINGS (WITH LATER MATRIXES) ARE ON VERY THIN VINYL - BUT THIS ULTRA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING WITH 'TEXTURED' LABELS IS ALMOST DOUBLE THE THICKNESS OF MOST STANDARD 1ST PRESSINGS!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION OVERALL (SEE BELOW), AND CLEARLY HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!   JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'FULLY TEXTURED' PINK 'i' ISLAND LABEL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'LYRIC' INNER SLEEVE, AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'MacNEILL' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Island UK 1st Pressing from 1970 and is in BRILLIANT condition overall!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is ILPS 9118 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Island label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in absolutely BRILLIANT condition visually (with the playing grade slightly less!)!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, only 2 or 3 absolutely TINY surface marks, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays almost as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  However, although the vinyl looks 100% PERFECTLY normal under light - there is some background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - though it is generally lost WAY behind the music - which still plays VERY well indeed!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must visually grade Very Good++++ if not better (with the playing grade slightly less than this for the reason detailed above!)!!!!  BRILLIANT LOOKING RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Lyric' inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition (with NO splits and NO repairs!) - though there is some VERY slight yellowing!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'MacNeill' Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO splits, only some very VERY minor 'touching in' traces to the VERY edges & spine ONLY (side words still PERFECT!), only VERY slight corner wear, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO sticker tears, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (ESPECIALLY AS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

--ooOOoo--

Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items (I always try my very best to describe everything exactly!) - PLEASE REMEMBER to contact with me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one!  I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem!  This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy!  Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem.  Thanks again - Graham @ XXXRecords.

PLEASE NOTE - I may be called in for an operation on Monday should the opening arise.  If so, there maybe a slight delay of sending of up to a week (but clearly it is likely to be far shorter as recovery times are thankfully quicker in this day and age).  Of course, I will still be contactable even in the hospital bed.  I will also schedule more auctions in advance anyway, so there will still be something to look at next week!
