Well, what kind I say about this Southamerican masterpiece if it speak for itself?

This album is pure Thrash Metal, well done and lacking downsides. There is a heavy influence in the rhythms of Speed Metal. It reminds me some times of Exciter, mainly in the guitar work. The solos are tremendous!. Specially in the first two tracks of the album which are fused into a whole eleven minute track. You can also hear some Slayer and Kreator Influences, like arrangements of the structure of the songs similar to "Show No Mercy" and "Terrible Certainty". Chakal has two lead guitar players, this is one of the things that makes this band different from other Brazilian Thrash bands at that moment, who played a more raw version of this subgenre.

The bass is always surounding in low tones the rhythm guitar (weather it is Mark or Pepeu), anyways Laranja does a good work increasing the aggression and power in the songs. There is even a short but cool bass solo in "Children Sacrifice". The drummer, Wiz, although he is an average drummer, the production makes his drums sound better and with more strength. He is still precise and very diversified in his beats. Korg unleashes great vocals that sound like a tortured growl. It is not a very strong grunt, but fairly good enough for the album.

Abominable Anno Domini, for being the first full length of this band, it is a very mature effort. This does not surprise me. Upon seeing the LP and the pictures of the band, you can figure out that Chakal is a band that mostly cares about the music. But still the cover of the album slays!

Anyways, my last words are: Buy this LP at a fair price if you have the opportunity of getting it! You will not be disappointed.
