WOW!! For sale is a positively STUNNING 1956 Mono first pressing of Chet Baker and Crew on Pacific Jazz! Pacific Jazz pressings from the 50’s are insanely rare to find in this condition. Sleeves are notorious for seam splitting and wear. This copy is a Top Copy and would be very hard to better. Final upgrade. Incredible album even featuring Chet Baker vocals on “Line For Lyons”.
Sleeve: EX+
GORGEOUS, nearly immaculate sleeve with VERY little wear on front or back. Laminate on front still shines. Old $4.98 price sticker still on front sleeve. There is some chipping to the top seam mainly, but only the very tiniest hint of a beginning of a seam split to the top opening edge. (See pic). Flat, crisp opening edges. Corners are mostly very sharp, with a very small bump to lower right. Rear slick is still brilliant white with no writing, dirt or visible wear. A single small stray mark is seen just above and to the left of the C in Chet Baker and Crew. Definitely nitpicking here. This sleeve looks pristine upon first glance and only the slight cracking to top seam gives any hint as to it’s true age.
Disc: EX+ to NM-
STUNNING glossy sheen, no scratches or scuffs. Truly a gorgeous example. There are a few very faint superficial nonsounding marks visible when tilted under bright light only, but this disc appears to have been played very little and stored extremely carefully for 66 years.
Labels: NM-
BEAUTIFUL first pressing black labels have no real flaws. A couple faint spindle traces are the only things to note.
$5 via Media Mail within the USA (please note this can take some time)
IMPORTANT:
Sorry, no International shipping on this one.
I package VERY carefully - no need to worry - I place the disc into a MoFi outer sleeve which goes behind the jacket to prevent splitting … all inside a plastic outer sleeve which is sandwiched snugly between two cardboard stiffeners and shipped using a proper LP mailer with extra corner protection. There will be no movement of the disc or jacket within the package, even if shaken or thrown.
I strive for 100% customer satisfaction and take great pride in my reputation. Returns are accepted within 30 days, buyer pays return shipping. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me before opening a case and I will do everything I can within my power to fix it. I go out of my to provide detailed descriptions and highlight any and all flaws so you know EXACTLY what you are getting, and I have never had a return or unsatisfied buyer.
