Description
Up for auction is a very collectable copy of the 1970 album Accept – Chicken Shack. This is Chicken Shack’s fourth album and their last on the Blue Horizon label. Disc number is S 7-63861.
I am not a record collector nor am I a record dealer. I am very much an amateur who has rediscovered an assortment of very interesting LPs which were collected in the 60's and 70's and have seen very little playing. I can therefore not really give a confident, objective grading but if pushed, I would say the disc is Excellent with only one or two tiny superficial marks. These do not affect playback which is superb. The labels are also excellent with only minor spindle marks. The cover is VG- although some I’m sure would class it as VG. However, my gradings are possibly conservative as I don’t want to disappoint the buyer.
COVER: The gatefold sleeve has no serious blemishes. There is some wear on the edges and one or two minor scuff marks on the outer surfaces. The inner gatefold sleeve surfaces are pretty good. There are some tiny drawing pin holes at the top of the cover as if it has been displayed on a wall at some point in its history.
DISC: Looks absolutely excellent, I can hardly see any marks on either side. Any marks present are extremely difficult to spot and have no detrimental effect on playback. The whole album plays beautifully with virtually no pops at all and only a very small amount of background static between tracks and on the run-ins and run-outs.
LABEL: Unmarked apart from some minor spindle marking.
INNER SLEEVE: Has some discolouration and creasing. Also, a small amount of pencil writing on the printed side (someone adding up some figures – see photo).
MATRICES: Side 1 – S7 (or SZ) 63861 A1 ; Side 2 – SZ 63861 B1.
This is a great opportunity to own this rare and very collectable album.
