Description

Available here is an original 7" EP by Cliff Richard and The Drifters, simply entitled Cliff No.2. A UK pressing, it was issued by Columbia in 1959 with the catalogue number SEG 7910.

The record features the following six tracks -

Side One - 1. Donna 2. Move It 3. Ready Teddy

Side Two - 1. Too Much 2. Don’t Bug Me Baby 3. Driftin’ (The Drifters)

Vinyl Condition - Excellent. The vinyl is bright and clean. It is certainly free from any worrying scratches, although you will spot three or four light surface marks if you look closely enough. Having listened to all of the songs, I can confirm that there is no jumping or sticking, with almost no background crackle.

Sleeve Condition - Excellent. Original picture sleeve, with light wear but no tears or splits. Light edge curl on the open side.

Synopsis - Plenty of historical information on the back of the sleeve but an interesting enough early release in that Cliff is backed by The Drifters, effectively an early version of The Shadows, which featured Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch and Jet Harris. Indeed, The Drifters also get to perform one of their own numbers without Cliff. All the tracks are live with adoring females making their presence known from time to time.
