CLIFF RICHARD - BREATHLESS / LAWDY MISS CLAWDY

First official vinyl release of the private demo recorded in 1958 by Cliff Richard at the HMV studios  on Oxford St., London, located above their famous record store. Cliff was accompanied on both these tracks by his backing band "The Drifters" who at the time consisted of Ian Samwell, Terry Smart and Ken Payne. Samwell went on to pen many of Cliff's early hits including "Move It". Three demo records were pressed at a total cost of £10 and one eventually found its way onto the desk of EMI's record producer Norrie Paramor.

This reissue was a limited edition and was restricted to a total of 950 pressings. The master pressing discs were then destroyed making further copying impossible.
