Description

CLIFFORD BROWN AND MAX ROACH – Brown & Roach Incorporated – On Emarcy Records, MG-36008. This is an original Mono deep groove pressing from 1955, not a reissue. The back cover is printed in blue ink.

Here is another extremely rare Jazz find and in great condition too. This is great modern jazz with Clifford Brown on Trumpet, Max Roach on Drums, Harold Land on Sax, George Morrow on Bass, and Richie Powell on Piano. No jazz collection is complete without Clifford Brown. The Tracks are:

Sweet Clifford, Ghost of a chance, Stompin at the Savoy, I’ll string along with you, Mildama, Darn that dream, & I get a kick out of you.

CONDITION

The COVER is rigid, nice and glossy, with good color. The top and bottom seams have center splits but are not separated. There’s faint surface wear but no ring-wear, no creases, or writing on it, front or back. The back shows a little more surface wear and soiling around the edges. Still a great looking cover. I’ll grade it a VG, just to be conservative, but you be the judge.

The VINYL is thick and heavy. It has several surface scuffs but nothing you can feel. I play tested it all the way through and this one plays with excellent fidelity. I did hear faint crackle at the lead-in groove on both sides and occasionally between tracks. Only track 2 had light ticks for 6 revolutions, the rest of the LP played beautifully. I’ll grade the vinyl a VG just to be conservative, even though it played much better than that. The winner of this auction is going to be very pleased.

Shipping is $4 in the U.S., and $1 more per LP, when combining shipping with any of my other LP auctions.

International bidders are welcome but shipping will be quoted after the auction ends. Typical overseas shipping is $14 to Europe, and $15 to Asia for air-mail, and about half that for surface mail.

PAYMENT – I prefer Money Orders. Paypal is acceptable but I add an extra 4% handling charge to the total to offset the Paypal fees. I apologize for this but between ebay’s fee increase and the paypal fees it is getting too expensive to continue absorbing this cost. Payment must be received within 7 days after the close of auction. If you’re unable to pay on time, “Don’t Bid”.
