COLOSSEUM "VALENTYNE SUITE"
Original 1969 1st press UK vinyl LP on the Vertigo 'Swirl' label with "A Philips Record Product" text
Vinyl matrix numbers: Side A: 886 775 1 Y 1 // Side B: 886 775 2 Y 1
Unlaminated Gatefold cover with "A Philips Record Product" inside and in plain white poly-lined inner sleeve
Side A: The Kettle / Elegy / Butty's Blues / The Machine Demands A Sacrifice
Side B: Valentyne Suite: Part 1: January's Search Part 2: February's Valentyne Part 3: The Grass Is Always Greener
The condition of the cover and vinyl is graded as good,with the cover worn along the edges and spine.
The vinyl has surface marks on both sides and has developed some form of discolouration on parts of Side A.
The LP has only been rediscovered today during a clear out,having believed to have been parted with many years ago.I have long since sold my equipment but it has been played throughout on a friend's turntable and it plays fine,without any skipping or sticking,albeit though with some background surface noise in parts.
