Cosmic Couriers (CC) White Label Promo, limited + numbered, ca. 1972/73

Ich bekam diese Platte gegen Ende der 70er Jahre von jemand aus dem Umfeld der Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser Clique geschenkt. Die LP war wohl als eine Art Promo-Sampler gedacht und enthält auf den beiden durchgehenden Seiten eine Art Potpourri, der durch verschiedene LPs der "kosmischen Kuriere" und ihr Umfeld führt. Ausschnitte aus verschiedenen Ohr/Kosmische Kuriere - LPs sind ineinander gemischt und "Sternenmädchen Gille" (vermute ich) kommentiert das Ganze auf ihre eigene, unverwechselbare Art. Etwas schwer zu beschreiben, aber wer schonmal in den Genuss einer Kosmische Kuriere bzw. Sternenmädchen Gille LP gekommen ist, weiß in etwa, was ich meine. Es kommentiert auch noch eine andere, männliche, Stimme. In Ausschnitten als "Cosmic Composers" vorgestellt werden Ash Ra Tempel, Rosi, Wallenstein, Jerry Berkers, Mythos, Cosmic Jokers und Popol Vuh. Die LP selbst war am Einschub ursprünglich mit einem echten, dunkelroten, Wachssiegel "CC" versiegelt, von dem immer noch die Überreste vorhanden sind. Das Siegel sollte wohl die Authenzität des "Cosmic Couriers" Ursprungs gewährleisten. Es handelte sich seinerzeit um eine, wenn ich mich recht erinnere, auf 500 Stück limitierte Auflage (diese trägt die Nummer 000064), die nie im Handel erhältlich war, sondern ausschließlich vom CC Klan verschenkt wurde. Die Label sind Weisslabel, lediglich auf einer Seite ist der Aufdruck "000064" zu finden.

Zum Zustand: Das Cover ist nach all den Jahren an den Rändern etwas angegilbt, hat jedoch keinerlei Knicke und/oder Beschädigungen und kann von daher durchaus als M- gelten.

Das Vinyl hat einige, wenige, feinste Hairlines und feinste Wischer, die jedoch nur unter starkem Halogenlicht sichtbar sind. Ab und zu ist ein ganz leichter Klick zu hören, den ich aber eher auf eine Unsauberkeit der Pressung zurückführe. Die Dead-Wax (Auslaufrillen-)Info lautet "CC-2010-A" und "CC-2010-B".

So, besser und genauer kann ich das Teil beim besten Willen nicht beschreiben. Ich denke aber, daß so ein Teil jetzt das 2 mal bei EBAY angeboten wird. Nutzt also Eure Chance !!! Viel Glück beim bieten !!!

Sorry aber bei dieser LP ist auf Grund der besonderen Umstände die Rücknahme ausgeschlossen! Wer jedoch Zweifel hat, möge sich meine Beurteilungen anschauen. Für Fragen stehe ich gerne zur Verfügung, eine kurze Mail genügt.

I got this record end of the 70ies  as a gift from a person who had to do with Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser. I assume it was meant to be a sort of promotional copy and it contains a potpourri of outtakes from various Ohr/Cosmic Couriers albums, mixed together and "commented" by "Sternenmädchen Gille". Tricky to explain but those of you who have listened to an album by the "Kosmischen Kuriere" before should (at least vaguely) know what I mean. A second male voice is also "commenting". Featuring excerpts from the music of Ash Ra Tempel, Rosi, Wallenstein, Jerry Berkers, Mythos, Cosmic Jokers, and Popol Vuh, all introduced as "cosmic composers". The album itself has a (now of course broken) dark red "CC" wax seal which, I suppose, served as a sign to show that this is a genuine Cosmic Couriers release. Although the seal is broken, the letters "CC" are still clearly visible in the remainders of the wax. Neither cover nor vinyl have any information, except the number "000064", but if I remember correctly (long time gone, y'know...)the album was limited to 500 copies only, a free giveaway to friends of the CC-clan and not for sale (That's for sure !!!).

Now for the condition: The cover is a bit yellowish around the edges and corners after about 30 years of storage but that's about it. I'd rate it M-.

The vinyl shows few very fine hairlines and very light surface marks which are visible only with very strong light and are not audible at all. The vinyl looks very glossy and fresh, so I'd give it a M- rating. An occasional click can be heard which most probably is the result of a minor pressing fault. The dead wax infos are "CC-2010-A" and "CC-2010-B".

Well folks, I've done my best to describe this album to you. I don't think this item has ever been presented at EBAY before and I strongly doubt it will be on auction a second time! So take your chance, Krautrock collectors! Should you miss any information don't hesitate to e-mail me.
