CURTIS MAYFIELD - SUPERFLY - LIMITED EDITION RED VINYL CRS8014-ST CURTOM PRESSED AT RHINO RECORDS LP - TREMENDOUSLY RARE COLORED VINYL PRESSING

I guess the only thing to argue is whether SUPERFLY or Shaft was the better album soundtrack . Either way, this is a great piece of music. Curtis Mayfield had a musical career which spanned decades, and moved from the gospel roots of the Impressions to the soundtrack of a movie which glorified drug dealing. Social sensibilities aside, it is hard to say anything bad about this music. Curtis' voice was sweet and plaintive in songs like "Eddie, you Should've Known Better", and "Little Child, Running Wild". Of course, he is like a one man Greek Chorus, as his songs tell of the strife which the movie characters face with their life's choices. Songs like "Superfly" and of course “Freddie's Dead” let us know via the radio what was happening on the screen. This album is still as fresh today as it was 25 years ago.

               1. Little Child Runnin' Wild

               2. Pusherman

               3. Freddie's Dead

               4. Junkie Chase (Instrumental)

               5. Give Me Your Love (Love Song)

               6. Eddie You Should Know Better

               7. No Thing On Me (Cocaine Song)

               8. Think (Instrumental)

               9. Superfly

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the motion picture Forrest Gump, Shop Radio Cast is proud to announce the first ever North American vinyl pressing of the soundtrack. All 32-tracks have been placed across three records to ensure maximum audio-fidelity, in addition to vinyl mastering and lacquers by Kevin Gray, and plating at RTI. The album will be available on 180 Gram ''All American'' Red, White and Blue vinyl LPs, pressed at United Record Pressing in the USA. First pressings will be hand-numbered and limited.

The 32-song soundtrack from the film was originally released on July 6, 1994. The soundtrack includes songs from Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Aretha Franklin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Three Dog Night, The Byrds, The Doors, The Mamas & the Papas, The Doobie Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Seger, and Buffalo Springfield, among others. Music producer Joel Sill reflected on compiling the soundtrack: ''We wanted to have very recognizable material that would pinpoint time periods, yet we didn't want to interfere with what was happening cinematically.'' The two-disc album has a variety of music from the 1950s-1980s performed by American artists. According to Sill, this was due to Zemeckis' request, ''All the material in there is American. Bob (Zemeckis) felt strongly about it. He felt that Forrest wouldn't buy anything but American.''

Forrest Gump: The Soundtrack is one of the most successful movie soundtrack albums of all time. The album - like the film - instantly captured the heart of America, going into the top 10 of Billboard's Pop Album chart and shipping over 1 million units in its first few weeks of release. This timeless double album of American Classics has since been certified DIAMOND - selling over 6 million copies.

"The movie Forrest Gump is about time. A simple man's journey through complicated times. The coming-of-age of a generation and a country. And at the heart of the story is the music. Music that lives with us, always there to remind us of the people, the places, and the events of our time.'' -Robert Zemeckis & Eric Roth

Numbered, Limited Edition 180g Translucent Red Vinyl Double LP!
Mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio! First Time Ever Available On Vinyl!

The soundtrack to Armageddon, the 1998 blockbuster thriller film directed by Michael Bay, features a tracklisting provided by a host of superstars including Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Jon Bon Jovi, Bob Seger, Patty Smyth, Journey, and more.

Much of the success of the album was driven by the Aerosmith power ballad "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing". The song, written by renowned pop songwriter Diane Warren, debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (the first #1 for the band after 28 years together). The other Aerosmith tracks are the rockin' "What Kind of Love Are You On", their 1991 Re-mix of "Sweet Emotion", and their classic cover of the Beatles' "Come Together".

"I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" stayed at number one for four weeks and also reached #1 in many countries around the world, including Australia, the Philippines, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. In the UK, the song peaked at number four, becoming Aerosmith's highest charting song in the UK.

With the theme of the film being the prospect of a giant meteor crashing into the earth, it is only fitting that the soundtrack is packed with explosive hits and stars. Armageddon - The Album features all the songs that rocked this movie blockbuster and became one of the best selling soundtracks in history.

The friends spend the weekend confronting the personal truths, sacrifices and betrayals that have left them disenchanted. Each must contend with unresolved issues they have with Alex, and with one another.

Even More Dazed And Confused Soundtrack LP (White With Red Splatter "Bloodshot Eyes" Vinyl)

White With Red Splatter "Bloodshot Eyes" Vinyl LP!

The subtitle on the album cover reads, "They Found Your Stash...Again," and Real Gone Music are happy to report that this particular musical stash is seeds and stems free! Richard Linklater's 1993 coming-of-age film Dazed And Confused captured the age-old adolescent themes of rebellion vs. conformity, jocks vs. nerds, stoners vs. students, and grown-ups vs. grads so perfectly that it remains a touchstone movie for each succeeding generation of high schoolers. But its events unfold at a very specific time and place; namely, the last day of the 1976 school year in Austin, Texas, a moment in rock and roll time which Linklater and his cohorts unerringly capture with a soundtrack that has spawned not one but two releases, of which this is the second.

Pressed on white with red splatter "Bloodshot Eyes" vinyl inside a jacket featuring production stills from the film. Visine not included!

Much like the still-popular Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks, this selection of '70s tunes serves the dual purpose of giving classic rock fans a quick and dirty collection to turn to in the pre-Spotify era and it does draw up warm memories of Richard Linklater's love letter to his teen years. Ideal gift for the cinephiles in your life that have just started out collecting vinyl.

Clerks Soundtrack 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION 2 LP SET (Black Smoke Vinyl)

Limited to 1500 Copies! Pressed on High Quality 180g Black Smoke Double Vinyl! Available on Vinyl for the First Time!

To celebrate Clerks' 20th anniversary, the soundtrack will be pressed to vinyl for the first time ever! Clerks is the 1994 soundtrack album to the film of the same name. The original soundtrack's mix of dialogue from the movie (''I'm not even supposed to be here today!'') and tunes by some of the leading groups of the alternative era will now play out across three sides of two LPs - the final side will contain an etching. The soundtrack features songs by Alice in Chains, Girls Against Boys, the Jesus Lizard, Bad Religion, Soul Asylum, Corrosion of Conformity, Stabbing Westward and more. It also features songs by Love Among Freaks, friends of Smith's who visit the convenience store in the movie and who scored the original soundtrack for the movie.

Famously, the cost of licensing the songs on the soundtrack cost more than the film cost to make. The movie helped make Alice in Chains' 1992 Sap EP tune ''Got Me Wrong'' a hit, and the Kevin Smith-directed clip for Soul Asylum's ''Can't Even Tell,'' which closes out the movie, propelled it to Number 16 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.

Quentin Tarantino Pulp Fiction Soundtrack EXCLUSIVE TRANSPARENT YELLOW VINYL LIMITED EDITION LP TAS Super LP List! Special Merit: Film and Broadway Score

Original Soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino's Oscar Award-Winning Film!

American Rock 'N' Roll, Surf Music, Pop, and Soul!

Includes Urge Overkill's Cover of Neil Diamond's "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon!"

One of the most defining cinematic moments of the mid 1990s was when the ‘counter-culture’ film Pulp Fiction was released! Pulp Fiction is the killer soundtrack which includes several slabs of vinyl perfection like Kool & The Gang’s dynamite Jungle Boogie, Al Green’s sensual Let’s Stay Together and Dusty Springfield’s gospel-like classic Son Of A Preacher Man.

The film contains a mix of American rock and roll, surf music, pop and soul. The soundtrack is equally untraditional, consisting of nine songs from the movie, four tracks of dialogue snippets followed by a song, and three tracks of dialogue alone. The album reached No. 21 on the Billboard 200 and the single, Urge Overkill's cover of the Neil Diamond song "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" peaked at No. 59.

Tarantino used an eclectic assortment of songs by various artists. Notable songs include Dick Dale's now-iconic rendition of "Misirlou", which is played during the opening credits. Tarantino chose surf music for the basic score of the film because, "it just seems like rock 'n' roll Ennio Morricone music, rock 'n' roll spaghetti Western music." In addition to the surf-rock rendition of "Misirlou", other notable songs include "Flowers on the Wall" by the Statler Brothers and "Bustin' Surfboards" by The Tornadoes, from 1962, which had been one of the first instrumental surf songs to hit the United States music charts after notables such as "Walk--Don't Run" by the Ventures.

The Orange County Register described why the soundtrack of Pulp Fiction stood out from all the others: "Unlike so many soundtracks, which just seem to be repositories for stray songs by hit acts regardless of whether they fit the film's mood, Tarantino's use of music in Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction exploded with a brash, Technicolor, pop-culture intensity that mirrored the stories he was telling."

"The soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino's darkly funny crime classic Pulp Fiction manages to re-create the film's wildly careening sense of style, violence, and humor by concentrating on the surf music that comprises the bulk of the movie's incidental music and adding a few sexy oldies integral to the film's story ('Let's Stay Together,' 'Son of a Preacher Man,' 'You Never Can Tell'). Of course, the inclusion of dialogue and Urge Overkill's seductive cover of Neil Diamond's 'Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon' doesn't hurt either." - Stephen Thomas Erlewine, allmusic

A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock our nation, American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosses (Amy Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that's as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds. Irving's unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down. Like David O. Russell's previous films, American Hustle defies genre, hinging on raw emotion, and life and death stakes.

You can't have a film set in the '70s without great music from the '70s setting the mood. The American Hustle Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, here on double blue and red vinyl, features a wide variety of artists and genres from the 1970s. You'll hear Duke Ellington's "Jeep's Blues," Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," Paul McCartney & Wings' "Live and Let Die" to Tom Jones' "Delilah" and Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and the Bee Gee's "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart"... just to mention a few.

"Like Goodfellas and Boogie Nights before it, American Hustle's music celebrates the epic feel of '70s pop, rock, and disco and uses it to give its story extra heft. David O. Russell's tale of con men, Feds, and the mob has a lighter touch than either of those two movies, however, and this is reflected in the soundtrack's song choices. More than a few of these tracks are by Electric Light Orchestra as well as Jeff Lynne on his own, and the whimsical yet driving sound of "10538 Orchestra," "Long Black Road," and "Stream of Stars" lends a tongue-in-cheek tone supported by Tom Jones' "Delilah" and Chris Stills' "Live to Live." The album touches on some of the decade's definitive songs (Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," Wings' "Live and Let Die," Donna Summer's "I Feel Love") but never sounds like a prepackaged hits-of-the-'70s collection, due in large part to unique choices like Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes' gritty version of "Don't Leave Me This Way" and Mayssa Karaa's otherworldly Arabic interpretation of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit," which is so striking that it's one of the finest songs on an album packed with big names. A nuanced and playful soundtrack, American Hustle works well as a companion piece to the movie that spawned it and on its own. " - allmusic

Music From Vanilla Sky 2 LP LIMITED EDITION TO 1000 COPIES (Blue Cloud Vinyl)

Soundtrack To Cameron Crowe Film On "Blue Cloud" Vinyl 2LP!
Limited Edition - 1000 Copies!

As a former music journalist (for Creem and Rolling Stone among other periodicals), director Cameron Crowe has always put his heart and soul into the soundtracks of his films. So, it’s no wonder that the most ambitious of all his films, Vanilla Sky, sported the most far-ranging and masterful of all of his scores.

The film itself was a waking dream, subject to various interpretations; the soundtrack, too, explored shifting moods and shades, but always maintaining the surreal tone and aesthetic of the film, with a glittering line-up (R.E.M., Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Jeff Buckley, Bob Dylan) of artists. The result was breathless praise for the soundtrack (the New York Times called it “a music masterpiece”) and an Academy Award nomination. It is, quite simply, one of the greatest “mix-tapes” a film director has ever created (with some help from soundtrack Co-Producer Danny Bramson and Crowe’s then-wife, Nancy Wilson of Heart); and, for its first vinyl reissue since its initial release, Real Gone Music have created a custom gatefold cover for the 2-LP release and pressed 1000 copies in “blue cloud” vinyl. A sublime listening and visual experience awaits.

CBGB ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUND TRACK Limited edition pink vinyl double LP

Punk is here! Twenty classic and rare tracks from the house that punk built . . . CBGB! And the original motion picture soundtrack! By the end of 1973, New York City was bankrupt, Watergate had compromised the credibility of the U.S. government, and the Carpenters were the best-selling young recording act in America. Rock 'n' roll was dead!

Enter Hilly Kristal, who dreamed of running a country and blues bar in the Bowery. Instead, the club he opened, CBGB (Country, Bluegrass, Blues) became the birthplace of punk and underground music. CBGB was the modern-day salon for the disenfranchised youth of New York City and Kristal gave these young local bands a stage. Artists such as the Talking Heads, Blondie, Patti Smith, Ramones, Dead Boys and Television all started at this iconic club.

The story of Hilly Kristal and his legendary club is coming to theaters when CBGB hits the big screen. The film has an all-star ensemble cast headed by Alan Rickman (the Harry Potter series, Die Hard) who plays Kristal. Co-starring with Rickman will be Malin Akerman (The Proposal, Suburgatory), Ryan Hurst (Sons Of Anarchy), Ashley Greene (The Twilight series), Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory), Stana Katic (Castle) and Rupert Grint (the Harry Potter series).

Omnivore Recordings is proud to present CBGB: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack as a limited edition pink double LP. An essential collection of songs that made the punk movement, CBGB presents 20 slices of original American music, many rarely compiled or unavailable for years. The soundtrack contains music from influential artists that informed the scene (The Velvet Underground, The Stooges and MC5), to acts that broke through with huge commercial acclaim (Talking Heads, Blondie and The Police). And there's even music from bands whose legendary status will forever be linked to the club that gave them a voice (Dead Boys, Television. Wayne County, The Dictators and more).

Disney's video game crossover movie TRON was a notable landmark in the synthesis of electronic and traditional orchestral music. Wendy Carlos created a brilliant orchestral recording with symphonic backgrounds by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the UCLA Chorus which was later enhanced and upgraded with an electronic score. The result is an impressive soundscape that successfully and seamlessly fuses organic and electronic music.

The multi-Grammy award winning Wendy Carlos best-known for her popular “Switched on Bach,” series of albums also composed and performed on the soundtracks of two Stanley Kubrick cinema masterpieces, “A Clockwork Orange” and “The Shining.”

The distinctive gatefold jacket holds two 180g translucent blue vinyl records and includes colorful photos from the popular cult film as well as generous and informative liner notes written by the composer as well as music maven, Michael Fremer. Audiophile mastering by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio.

The TRON album includes two tracks ("Only Solutions” and the rock guitar-driven instrumental, "1990's Theme") provided by Journey, one of America's best selling and most beloved bands.

"The score deserves another listen in the analog domain by another generation and that will happen when this soundtrack is reissued." - Michael Fremer, Analog Planet

"...the original soundtrack to Disney's video game crossover movie Tron was a notable landmark in the synthesis of electronic and traditional orchestral music. Given a set of cues by the director, Carlos composed an electronic score for the movie, which was later overlapped with symphonic backgrounds by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the UCLA Chorus...the result is an impressive score that fuses organic and electronic to such a degree that much of the score sounds of a piece." - John Bush, allmusic

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Soundtrack 150 GRAM LIMITED EDITION LP (Red Vinyl)

Original Soundtrack on Limited Edition Transparent Red Vinyl! Includes Tracks from Beck, Broken Social Scene, Rolling Stones, T. Rex, The Bluetones, Plumtree & More! Collector's Item!

The original Scott Pilgrim Motion Picture Soundtrack features four new songs by Beck under the guise of Sex Bob-omb. Also on the soundtrack are selections by Broken Social Scene, Beachwood Sparks and Frank Black - alongside classic rock anthems from rock greats, The Rolling Stones and T. Rex plus a stellar inclusion from Britpop kings The Bluetones.

"[A] new favourite soundtrack to cherish." - James McMahon, The Guardian

"[T]he soundtrack comes together very well as a whole. Whereas many modern film soundtracks are glorified compilation discs with a seemingly random track selection, the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World soundtrack is very thoughtful in its curation and stands as a very accurate interpretation of O'Malley's fictional world." - Matthew Perpetua, Pitchfork

"Cohesiveness is a necessary quality to any soundtrack – it’s crucial to have great individual songs and string them together in a way that makes sense. The Scott Pilgrim OST does a fine job at stringing the songs together, for instance, leading into the T. Rex classic 'Teenage Dream', with its large orchestration and bombastic choruses works really well after 'Garbage Truck', as does the transition from 'Scott Pilgrim' by Plumtree into Frank Black’s classic 'I Heard Ramona Sing'. Plumtree is a 90’s teenage band from Nova Scotia, who are credited for coining the Scott Pilgrim name, and after listening to their track, it’s easy to discern why O’Malley equated the song with his comic book – the track exudes teenage powerlessness, confusion and most all, a happy go lucky brand of naivety..." - Stephen Foster, Consequence of Sound

Natural Born Killers Soundtrack 180 GRAM Red Vinyl NUMBERED 1407 LIMITED EDITION 2LP SET

Out of Print!

180g Audiophile Vinyl! First Numbered Pressing of 2000 Copies on Limited Edition Blood Red Vinyl!

Produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, the soundtrack to the film Natural Born Killers (1994) was a downright smash in youngster's music tastes of the era. On his approach to compiling the soundtrack, Reznor told MTV: "I suggested to Oliver [Stone] to try to turn the soundtrack into a collage-of-sound, kind of the way the movie used music: make edits, add dialog, and make it something interesting, rather than a bunch of previously released music."

Some songs were written especially for the film or soundtrack, such as "Burn" by Nine Inch Nails. Other songs featured are by artists like Patti Smith, Cowboy Junkies, Leonard Cohen, Jane's Addiction, Dr. Dre and Juliette Lewis. The album has sold 500,000 copies in the United States, making it a Gold record.

"...the soundtrack to Oliver Stone's brutally warped serial killer saga recreates the hallucinatory feeling of the film. Snatches of dialogue interweave with song fragments and sound effects, creating a harrowing, violent soundscape where Leonard Cohen occasionally offers a relief of sorts. In fact, Reznor managed to convey the insanity of the movie's lead characters much more effectively than Stone did with the film itself." -Stephen Thomas Erlewine, allmusic.

Fernando Velazquez Hercules Soundtrack (2014) Numbered 1844 Limited Edition 180g Import 2LP (Clear Blue/Black Vinyl)

180g Audiophile Vinyl! First Numbered Pressing of 2000 Copies on Limited Edition Clear Blue/Black Vinyl!

Hercules (2014) is a riveting adventure blockbuster directed by Brett Ratner and starring Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock), Joseph Fiennes, John Hurt and more. It is based on the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars.

The film was a pleasant surprise to critics. The chief film critic for Variety wrote: "it's a grandly staged, solidly entertaining, old-fashioned adventure movie that does something no other Hercules movie has quite done before: it cuts the mythical son of Zeus down to human size (or as human as you can get while still being played by Dwayne Johnson)" and further added that "[Hercules's] strongest asset is surely Johnson, who continues to foster one of the most affable, guileless screen personas in movies today."

The music epic, driving, classic and cool. All of these adjectives were used to describe the music desired by the creative team making Hercules. Composer Fernando Velázquez rose to the occasion and delivered a fantastic score. The recording sessions took place at Air Studios and Abbey Road Studios in London, with Fernando conducting the tremendous London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Elmer Bernstein The Great Escape Soundtrack 180 GRAM LIMITED Import LP (Light Blue Vinyl)

180g Light Blue Virgin Vinyl Reissue of 1963 Soundtrack!

When a motion picture is destined for immortality, as is The Great Escape, there are always separate parts that contribute to the impact of the whol.e One of these important parts is usually the score, and especially when it's composed and conducted by Elmer Bernstein.

Film and record fans will long remember the vivid musical flavor he brought to "Walk On The Wild Side" and it's not at all surprising that he has surpassed himself on this one. To complement the story of an Allied prisoners-or-war breakout from a Nazi compound, Bernstein has filled the soundtrack with themese of such expressive quality and dramatic intensity that not only does it help the flow of the film but it also stands alone as a potent musical entity within itself. His stirring marching theme has already been favorably compared with "The Bridge On The River Kwai" and everyone knows what happened there.

- VARIOUS ARTIST Dallas Buyers Club

(Original Soundtrack + Colored Vinyl)

180-gram gatefold double LP

Insert included

First pressing of 1,000 numbered copies on gold and blue vinyl

The soundtrack to the triple Academy Award-winning feature film Dallas Buyers Club features songs by Shuggie Otis, My Morning Jacket, T. Rex and actor/singer Jared Leto's Thirty Seconds To Mars. The first 1,000 copies of this double LP are uniquely pressed on gold and blue vinyl (each record a different color!).

Dallas Buyers Club follows the Oscar-winning performance by Matthew McConaughey portraying the '80s real life character Ron Woodroof, who's suddenly being diagnosed as H.I.V.-positive and given 30 days to live. Yet he will not, and does not, accept a death sentence. A crash course of research reveals a lack of approved treatments and medications in the U.S., so Ron crosses the border into Mexico. There, he learns about alternative treatments and begins smuggling them into the U.S.

An outsider to the gay community, Ron finds an unlikely ally in fellow AIDS patient and transsexual Rayon (another Oscar Winning performance by Jared Leto). They establish a "buyers club," where H.I.V.-positive people pay monthly dues for access to the newly acquired supplies. With a growing community of friends and clients, Ron fights for dignity, education, and acceptance. In the years following his diagnosis, the embattled Lone Star loner lives life to the fullest like never before.
