Description
Prestige 4 recording of Trombone by Three, released in 1956 and featuring Jay Jay Johnson, Kai Winding and Bennie Green. Cover is a signed drawing by Andy Warhol based on direction from Prestige's art director, Reid Miles, who is credited in small type on the cover. According to Andy Warhol Record Covers, 1949-1987, Catalogue Raisonne, the drawing is based on an 8th C illumination from the Vespasian Psalter in which King David is surrounded by an orchestra.
