Description

Superb first vinyl offering from the political punk band Crass.

This auction is for the original pressing on the "Small Wonder" record label, catalogue number WEENY 2.

It includes the infamous first track "The Sound Of Free Speech" which is two minutes of silence. The originally scheduled track ("Reality Asylum", referred to as "Asylum" on the record sleeve and label) was replaced when workers at the Irish pressing plant contracted to manufacture the disc refused to handle it due to the allegedly blasphemous content of the track.

Eighteen tracks squeezed onto a 12" 45rpm record, this is what punk was all about!!

I take great care with my records.  I have always replaced them in their sleeves and stored them upright pressed between other albums. Accordingly the disc, sleeve and fold-out insert are all in excellent /near mint condition.
