Description

Joseph et Cleoma Falcon--Decca 17019

Original Cajun 78 RPM record, Decca 17019, Joseph Falcon, You Are Hard To Please b/w Cleoma Falcon, I Can't Do Without You. Recorded 12 March 1936. Note mis-spelling CAJIN instead of "Cajun" on label.

Record has been heavily played as is typical of most Cajun 78s from this period. Playing surface is dull, with numerous scuffs and scratches from use, and quite a bit of label wear as well, but no chips, cracks or other damage. Has more than average background noise corresponding with the surface wear, but still plays well. Despite the wear, still a nice pre-war recording by the original First Couple of Cajun Music and is in VG- condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.

Record is one of a small stack of pre-war Cajun 78s that were found in Port Arthur, Texas nearly 30 years ago. Please check my other auctions for more records from the same stack. Thanks.
