With the UK printed front laminated Sleeve in EX Condition and the Record in EX Condition. Description
Original UK Liberty blue label stereo 1st press.
The second album by Canned Heat was recorded at Liberty Studios in October to November 1967 and released in January 1968. The follow up to their debut album 'Canned Heat' and their appearance at the Monterey Pop Festival in June 1967. The band had also been arrested that year in Colorado for possession, retold in the track 'My Crime' and then had a world wide hit with 'On The Road Again'. On the back of all this they appeared at the Newport Jazz Festival in September 1968 and then toured Europe and the UK, even appearing on Top Of The Pops!
This is the original issue with the blue Liberty labels and the very earliest A//1 B//1 matrices & 1-1-4 1-1-4 stampeers of the first presses.
The UK printed front laminated sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some storage rubbing/laminate creasing on the front cover. There is some light storage rubbing on the unlaminated rear cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain company inner is intact and in VG+ condition.
The record is in visually EX condition, with a few faint sleeve removal hairlines and a couple of neddle/bag scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on each side. The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and briefly in a couple of the quieter passages.Overall, a really good, loud & lively listen. The matrix nos. are; LBS-83103, A//1 stamper 1-1-4, B//1 stamper 1-1-4. This is one of the very early copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1968 album!
All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
Royal Mail post to Europe (All EU countries & non EU countries, including Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, etc.), the Rest of the World (Zone 1, including Canada, Japan, Brazil, Korea, China, South Africa, etc.) and the Rest of the World Zones 2 & 3 (the USA, Australia & New Zealand etc).
All Airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
