Description
An original heavy-set 1970 copy of the Reissue of SAM. Stamped "STERLING". 1st released a couple of years earlier. This copy is a 1970 edition with patent info bottom left on cover and deletion notch. The deletion notch helps date it to 1970. Worth going for a 1970 copy because by 1971 they'd basically screwed up the original master tapes! Original US cover is a survivor!
Vinyl (Ex) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Even into the lowkey tracks - really clean player. Nothing upfront or annoying. Given the vintage - really impressive.
Cover (Ex/Ex-) Lovely flat and only exhibiting lightest surface wear. Given the vintage very impressive. Minimal edge wear. Spine 90% intact with slight ageing. Four pointy corners. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits.
